Member Spotlight Workman’s Corner Market

This week’s Member Spotlight is on Workman’s Corner Market! Workman’s opened in 1988 and the restaurant in 2000, owned by the Workman family. In 2001, Adam and Sylvia Workman purchased the family business, which now has 11 employees that help to keep it going.

Workman’s offers a wide variety of grocery items, a 28-degree beer cave, a selection of wine, fresh Hunt’s pizza, and a meat deli that offers turkey, Cajun turkey, roast beef, ham, and cheese. The restaurant serves breakfast from 5:30 – 10:30 a.m. and a daily lunch buffet from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. A full menu is also available which includes burgers, sandwiches (made from the fresh deli meat), steak, and pork chops. The cooks also make homemade desserts Wednesday through Friday!

Some exciting news – Workman’s will soon offer locally, home-grown USDA approved beef! Products will include steaks, brisket, roast, hamburger patties, and ground beef that will be available for sale and used in the restaurant.

Workman’s Corner Market is located at 7001 S. State Highway 48 in Coleman, OK and is open Monday – Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m; Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m; and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Give them a call to place your order at 580-937-4510. We thank Workman’s for their chamber membership and wish them a year of prosperity!

Now is the time for members to send in their 2019 events, meeting schedules, or other planned activities for the online community calendar. I have been working to make sure it is up-to-date, as that is where I draw my information for the weekly e-newsletter. Thank you for sending in your renewal information, ballots and citizen of the year letters – keep them coming!

The first Women’s Biz Connection meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, January 29th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. here at the Chickasaw Information Center. Registration is $10 and lunch is included. We are also looking forward to the Annual Banquet that will be Saturday, March 30th. This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the chamber and we need our members help! We are looking for items for our live and silent auctions – this event has over 200 in attendance and is a great way to get exposure for your business or organization. You will be listed on the sponsor board for the auctions and on social media. Please give me a call at 580-371-2175 or email johnstoncountychamber@gmail.com if you have something you would like to give. We appreciate your help and dedication to our mission!
